Water Situation in Stratford

While the City of Stratford continues to deal with an ongoing water crisis as a result of two water wells failing last month, Team Vidak would like to thank everyone who responded to our calls and donated water to support our friends and neighbors during this difficult time!

Andy Speaks Against SB 100

As the 2018 legislative session wrapped up last month, Andy delivered a blistering speech against Senate Bill 100, which will increase the power bills of all Californians and continue to hurt the struggling middle class, low-income families and unemployed people across the Central Valley and statewide. Team Vidak Celebrates National Night Out

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and the women and men law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police officers and neighbors together under positive circumstances.

Team Vidak Out and About

Andy attended the annual Philippine Weekend at Cecil Park in Delano and presented Senate Certificates of Recognition to Janet and Hubert Rabanal (Grand Marshalls of the Parade) and to Helen Calip (The Mabuhay Service Award recipient)!

Andy recently took a tour of North Kern State Prison in Delano to learn more about the facility, its operations, and the services & programs offered to inmates. Team Vidak would like to thank Warden Kelly Santoro and staff for the work that they’re doing!

Andy met in his Capitol office last month with Captain David James, the Commanding Officer at Naval Air Station Lemoore.

Andy met recently in his Capitol office with Steve Wilson, the President & CEO of the Fresno Philharmonic. Steve is a tremendous advocate on behalf of the arts community and Team Vidak thanks him for his good work in Fresno and across the Central Valley!

Team Vidak District Representative Weston Anderson attended the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at United Health Center’s new facility in Lemoore.

Team Vidak Senior District Representative Michael Bowers attended yesterday’s Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at the remodeled McDonald’s in Bakersfield and presented a Senate Certificate of Recognition! Thanks to Bakersfield Mayor Karen Goh for the photo!

Team Vidak Senior District Representative Michael Bowers presented a Senate Resolution to Larry Moxley in honor of his 30 years of service to the residents of Kern County!

Andy met in his Capitol office last month with Corcoran City Councilmember Patricia Nolen and several other public officials from Corcoran.

Team Vidak Communications Director Cory Burkarth met with a group of federal employees last month in Andy’s Capitol office, including Anne Gibson (center) who works at the Veterans Affairs hospital in Fresno! Thank you to all of our federal employees across the Central Valley!

Andy toured Browning Road Elementary School in McFarland last month and got to meet with an excellent group of students during his visit.

Andy had the privilege last month of attending the Wonderful Agriculture Career Prep Program’s graduation ceremony in Delano! Congratulations to all 90 of the graduates and Team Vidak wishes you all the best!

Team Vidak District Representative Rogelio Caudillo attended the Groundbreaking ceremony at the soon-to-be brand new Corcoran Police station and presented a Senate Certificate of Recognition to Police Chief Reuben Shortnacy!

Andy recently toured International Paper in Sanger and had the opportunity to speak with employees and answer their questions! International Paper’s Container Plant in Sanger employs 230 people and we are grateful for these jobs in the Central Valley!

Andy welcomed the California Precast Concrete Pipe Association to the Senate Chamber last month to celebrate Concrete Pipe Week.

Andy met in his Capitol office last month with Tulare County District Attorney Tim Ward, who was in Sacramento while working on the Golden State Killer case. Team Vidak thanks our law enforcement partners in the Central Valley for their diligent work in this case!

Team Vidak District Representative Felisa Hannah attended the Grand Opening Ceremony of Educational Employees Credit Union last month and presented a Senate Certificate of Recognition! This is EECU’s 19th branch and their first one in Sanger!

Team Vidak District Representative Felisa Hannah attended the Grand Re-Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at Central Valley Engineering and Surveying! Located in Selma, they have been in business for 10 years and have grown from four employees to now having 20 employees! Congratulations to owners Nick and Minnie Sahota!
