SACRAMENTO – State Senator Andy Vidak announced Friday that Marine Corps veteran Cody Sedano has joined Team Vidak as a District Representative in Vidak’s Fresno office.
“It’s an honor to have Cody join our staff,” said Vidak. “Cody served our country overseas with distinction and honor and I am grateful that he will continue his service to the residents of the Central Valley. He is a great addition to our Fresno office and we’re excited to have him on our team.“
Sedano served four years of active duty in the United States Marine Corps. While in the Marines, he served as an Amphibious Assault Crew Chief and then went on to become a NATO translator in Helmond Province, Afghanistan.
Following his service in the Marine Corps, Sedano earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from California State University, Fresno. While at Fresno State, he represented current and former members of the military in Associated Students, Inc. He also founded the Political Science Honors Society at Fresno State.
Sedano recently interned in the office of Fresno City councilmember Paul Caprioglio, where he helped with constituent services and community outreach.
Sedano is a citrus farmer with orchards in Orange Cove, Dinuba, Orosi, and Sultana.
“It is an honor to be the newest member of Team Vidak and I look forward assisting Senator Vidak as he represents the Valley that I was born and raised in,” Sedano said.
