Vidak: Governor's Proposed Ballot Measure plays 'Russian Roulette' with People's Lives

Sacramento – Senator Andy Vidak (R-Hanford) issued the following statement today in response to the governor’s proposed ballot measure to reduce the time felons stay in prison.

The Governor for decades has enjoyed taxpayer-funded, round-the-clock protection for his family, yet he continues to play “Russian Roulette” with the safety of law-abiding, low- and middle-income families who can’t afford their own security detail.
