Vidak to Governor: Order High-Speed Rail Authority Underlings to Release Parsons Project Secret Report

Authority's hand-picked consultant concluded train will be over-budget and delayed for several years

Senator Andy Vidak (R-Hanford) today sent a letter to Governor Brown requesting that he order California High-Speed Rail Authority (CHSRA) officials to release to the public the secret Parsons Project report, the existence of which was revealed in a recent Los Angeles Times investigative story.

CHSRA CEO Jeff Morales initially tried to deny the existence of the secret Parsons Project report; now he is simply refusing to release the 2013 report.  Morales used to work for Parsons Brinckerhoff, author of the report, which was hand-picked to be the High-Speed Rail project’s consultant.

“Governor, I’m asking that you order officials at the California High-Speed Rail Authority to immediately release the secret Parsons Project report to the public and the media.  Even we declinists deserve facts, not fiction, from our state’s leaders,” Vidak wrote in the letter to the governor.
