Local FFA Students Participate in the Sacramento Leadership Experience

March 8, 2017

Macey Hammerstorm of Kingsburg FFA, Hannah Seymore of Golden West FFA and Delaney Woolwine of Hanford FFA met with Andy this afternoon to talk about issues facing agriculture and the future of the agriculture industry as a part of the Sacramento Leadership Experience (SLE).

SLE is hosted each spring by the California FFA Association and the California Department of Education in our state’s capitol. The purpose of SLE is to provide sixty hard working high school seniors in School-Based Agricultural Education with an opportunity to participate in government and our legislative process, gain an understanding of their civic responsibilities, and explore issues in education and agriculture as they participate in a model legislature.
