75th Anniversary Celebration of Sal's Mexican Restaurant

September 25, 2017

Sal’s Mexican Restaurant in Selma is celebrating 75 years in business with a day full of mariachi music and folklorico dancers.

Sal’s Mexican Restaurant first started when Sal Salazar decided to quit being a peach picker and instead decided to build his own taco shed, named Sal's Place. 75 years later, Sal’s has grown into an integral part of the community and is already looking forward to year 100.

Team Vidak District Representative Claudia Salinas and Maddy Institute Intern Katie Ramirez attended the celebration and presented Sal and Karl Salazar with a Senate Certificate of Recognition in honor of their 75th anniversary.
